Windows crashing after clicking PERFORMANCE tab under Task Manager

Hello Windows Community folks

Windows 10 keeps crashing after I click Performance TAB in Task Manager. It crashes the windows going into the infamous Green screen with reason- Windows preview build failed. I have tried several debug options like cmd SFC Scan, DISM.

I have not specifically touched registry keys as I am afraid I will end up breaking something else.

What options do I have? Please suggest.

this helped for me,

I changed

NVIDIA System Control > 3D Settings > Global Settings > Preferred GPU

from "NVIDIA high performance processor"

back to "auto select"

Thanks a lot!

Updating the NVIDIA Driver solved the blue screen crash for me ! Performance tab is visible again :-)

Lenovo W530 Nividia Quattro 1000 Win 10 x64.

SOLVED!!!
I've the SAME problem while upgrading from Win 8 to W10 21H2.
The problem was caused by Nvidia standard drivers suggested and installed by Windows Update.
I've downloaded from Nvidia the latest drivers for my VGA (Nvidia GeForce GGT740M on HP Pavilion 15-n066sl notebook with Intel i7 processor)
Now, it works correctly.
