Windows crashing after clicking PERFORMANCE tab under Task Manager

Hello Windows Community folks

Windows 10 keeps crashing after I click Performance TAB in Task Manager. It crashes the windows going into the infamous Green screen with reason- Windows preview build failed. I have tried several debug options like cmd SFC Scan, DISM.

I have not specifically touched registry keys as I am afraid I will end up breaking something else.

What options do I have? Please suggest.

this helped for me,

I changed

NVIDIA System Control > 3D Settings > Global Settings > Preferred GPU

from "NVIDIA high performance processor"

back to "auto select"

Not this either Fabio, because upon installing a fresh system, the default is the Intel gpu, and yet my system was crashing immediately after the first full boot...

This issue needs urgent attention from Microsoft. I am a new user here, does Microsoft monitor these threads? What is the ideal formal process to log an issue with them? Thanks in advance.

I bet the issue is not with the Office installation. It is just something else that clicks. I installed Office 2013 right after installing windows on my new SSD.

And, do you also have your old HDD placed in the CD Driver bay?
