Hi all
I've just completed the Windows 10 2004 upgrade and I have noticed 2 issues.
This seem to only happen when Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Security and Maintenance initiates its automatic maintenance or if I select start maintenance.
This is concerning as it should never attempt to defrag an SSD.
My laptop is only a few months old and came with a PCIe SSD and Windows 10 1909 so there is no compatibility or lack of trim support issues obviously.
I have disabled scheduled weekly optimizations in the defrag/optimize tool which prevents it from attempting to defrag when the control penal maintenance attempts its maintenance when the computer is idle.
I want to let everyone know that this is happening so others are aware. My other computers that have the latest update are also doing it.

Microsoft supposedly fixed it now: kb4571744-cumulative-update-windows-10-v2004-build-19041-488-sept-3-
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4571744/windows-10-update-kb4571744
The latest optional update KB4571744 likely has fixed the SSD Defrag issue in version 2004.
👍 This morning I installed it manually from the .cab file via the command: DISM / Online / Add-Package / PackagePath:
because after I checked manually there is no KB4571744 except for the definition update for Microsoft Defender Antivirus. I have to wait about 2 hours during the install process because I still use HDD.
My current version of Windows 10: Windows 10 OS Version 2009 (Build 19042.487)
thank you
Please check now. MS is somewhat behind the schedule this month :)

Please note that this is an optional update - the stable release is expected on 8th September 2020.
I have manually installed KB4571744 via the .cab file on Windows 10 20H2 "Release Preview Channel" on August 28, 2020 and the Optimize Drive Problem is correct as it should be after restarting. Of course, I don't forget tomorrow, September 8, 2020 for cumulative updates for Windows 10 Version 20H2. By the way I'm sleepy 😪 I'll take a nap first. Thank you very much everyone. Hopefully your defrag problem is what it should be after restarting.
Thanks. Bye.
I installed KB4571744 today and restarted. I then Optimized an SSD and it looked like it correctly trimmed the device. I restarted and opened the Optimize dialog. The "Last analyzed or optimized" date/time was correctly reported. It hadn't been before.
