Windows 10 version 2004 "Your Device is not ready"

Any idea why this is? l am literally running a very modern £1600 PC with very modern hardware (approx 6 months old).

    It is apparrently a beta update you just gotta go to developers mode to get it.

    After spending nearly half an hour updating my pc with version 2004, using windows update assist,  the download stopped and a message said the download was not ready for the settings on my computer and they would let me know when the new version was available.  Typical Windows!

    Hi,

    there may be several reasons, including software incompatible with 2004, hardware without drivers for 2004 or incompatible with 2004 and so on. Is there any more detailed description?

    What is the problem with gaming laptops with all the drivers updated?

    You were trying to work around the normal Windows Update -- so you are the one taking the risk. But yet try to blame MS?
