Missing download folder

I cannot download programs. When sellecting “run” i get the message that the download directory cannot be accessed. Anyone know a fix?

    What do you use for your Browser ?

    Chrome ?

    Edge ?

    You can change the target folder to be used for downloads, in each of these browsers.

    You can called the download folder anything you like and choose where it will reside.

    I wonder what your browser currently reads ?

    And I wonder if you might try changing the target download folder to someplace else (temporally) (Put it on your desktop or on the C: drive) and then attempt to download a program, file, video, etc., anew.

    Just to see if it works.

    I use Edge. And i tried what you suggest and still no luck.

    Then maybe, the issue is the browser.

    Have you tried downloading using a different browser ? IE: Chrome, Firefox ..... 

    Have you tried resetting Edge and then downloading anew ?

    Start \ Settings \ Apps & Features \ Microsoft Edge \ Advanced options 

    Terminate

    Repair

    Try downloading again

    And if the repair doesn't do the trick ....

    Terminate followed by Reset

    Try downloading again

    Sometime these apps get hosed.

    And Repair and\or Rest can do the trick.

    Anyway, it's easy to do.
