Missing download folder

I tried all options you presented. Still the same problem. How do i do a windows repair. Seems to me I have tried this and it won’t allow me.

I don’t seem to be able to save the screenshot?

Let me ask you some very basic questions.

What version of Windows 10 is your machine ?

Right click on Start

Left click on Run

Type in Winver

OK

Take a screen shot and paste it here

Please take a screenshot of the output of the following

Control Panel \ System \ Advanced System Settings \ Computer Name (tab at the top)

Has downloading ever worked ?

When was the last downloading worked ?

Were any change, if any, made to this machine between the time downloading worked last and downloading began failing ?

When was the last time you checked for and applied Windows 10 updates ?

It appears, based as the permissions that you were good enough to share earlier, that your machine was once a member of a home group.  (Which Windows 10 no longer supports.)

Try this first:

Control Panel \ System \ Advanced System Settings \ Computer Name (tab at the top)

To the right of "To rename this Computer", left click the "Change" button.

Leave the computer name alone for now but change the "Workgroup" name to something different.

Click on "OK"

Restart your machine.

Try downloading again and let us know of the results.

It the above doesn't afford relief from this issue, It now sounds as if the only thing left is to ensure that Windows 10 itself is healthy and up to date.

Please perform both of the following

They are standard Windows 10 procedures and commands so there isn't anything "iffy" about doing them.

These things will take some time but they may save you from a Windows 10 repair install. (Which you may need to do anyway.)

We shall see.

Try this second:

Left make sure Windows 10 is up to date.

Check for, download and apply all available Windows 10 updates. (Unless you have a reason not to do so.)

Then after any and or all updates have been applied, try downloading anew and let us know of the results.

Start \ Settings \ Update & Security

Are any updates pending download or installation ?

If yes please install them

Click the "Check for Updates" button

Try this third:

Start an elevated command prompt.

Then inside the following command, one at a time followed by the "Enter" key.

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

sfc/scannow

Once the above commands have been completed successfully, restart your machine, try the download again and let us know of the results.

I have even tried resetting and it won’t let me do that. I get the message “There was a problem resetting your PC”.
