Missing download folder

I cannot download programs. When sellecting “run” i get the message that the download directory cannot be accessed. Anyone know a fix?

    Hi Anthony

    Click your Start Button, type regedit and hit Enter to open the Registry Editor

    Click View and make sure 'Address Bar' is turned on

    Paste this into the Address Bar at the top and hit Enter

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders

    Please provide a screenshot of that Registry Editor window

    There are no downloaded files in the folder. That’s the problem. Any program i attempt to download i get the message the the download directory cannot be accessed.

    Hi Anthony

    Open File Explorer

    On the left click Downloads

    Are you able to access that folder and does the file you downloaded exist in that folder?

    If so, can you run that file from inside the Downloads folder?

    If not, if you move that file to another folder, can you then run that file?
