After reboot twice, i open Command Prompt with run as administrator, then run DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth to repair all possible Windows system file, follow by sfc /scannow

After that I reboot my HP Elite X2 G4. Now it seems everything is back to normal.

This is to confirm thT HP Elite X2 G4 can be updated to May 2020 version without serius problem

    Hope this information help

Today, there are many driver updates from Realtek and Intel on my HP Elite X2 G4. So i bite the bullet by updating to May 2020 version using Windows Update Assistant, bypass the warning for on hold in Windows Update pge.

after updte, all device work fine, but there re some instability that ocassinalyy slow down the computer. In some case boot up my not load all user settigns. i am able to shutdown, restsrt, nd hibernate.

so i will wait to see whethe4 i will stick with this new version or use my backup image (done by EaseUS To Do Backup) to roll back to version 1909

will report the update here. This is to inform that updating HP Elite X2 is possible now after updating many drivers from Windows Update and Windows Store.
