I hate all Windows 10 updates. Why not to create self-check procedure, use other location to store files etc. and apply the changes only if everything is ok? For the first group of computers update is available or for experienced users, this procedure would be manual with agreement of user to do so.

Agreed. I have two systems: Win10 Pro and Win10 Home. The Pro system has access to a SSD. The update concluded in approx 30 minutes. The other system (9 years old HP laptop) took much longer but also concluded without errors.
