I have a Surface Pro 5 with a Windows Hello camera that wasn't working and I wasn't able to fix it. Looked like I'd need to do a reset to fix the drivers, so instead I decided to give 2004 a try, hoping the update would refresh the camera drives. Indeed this worked, but I've been having a lot of problems since the update: Seems like all sorts of applications and OS features won't remember my username/passwords anymore. Every time I log in I have to sign into both one drive personal and one drive business. Outlook keeps asking me to log into my office365 every few hours. Acrobat keeps asking for my Adobe login every time a load a pdf if I haven't done so in a few hours. Settings periodically makes me fix my insider account configuration by re-authenticating with Hello Lastpass extention in Firefox keeps asking me to enter my password despite being configured to only require a fingeprint (it first asks me for my fingerprint, but then also asks for the password) probably some stuff I can't recall right now. I wasn't having any of these issues before the update. I tried following Lastpass's support advice to fix it by reinstalling the extension and resetting several settings but this didn't help. It's possible these are all individual issues, but since it seems to be an issue with remembering credentials across a variety of applications, I'm suspecting it's a system wide issue and maybe not specific to these applications. I checked that the credential manager service is running. It was set to manual. I changed it to automatic and rebooted but this didn't seem to help. Anyone have an idea what could be going on here? I managed to solve the issue. I first hoped that a fresh install of Windows would solve the problem. This seemed to be the case at first, however at some point when I was reinstalling all my programs, the issue was back again. It turned out that MSI Dragon Center (software that came with my graphics card) was causing this issue in combination with Windows 10 2004. After uninstalling Dragon Center, Windows Credential Manager started working again. Had I known this upfront, then I would not have to reinstall Windows... I hope my experience might help others with a similar issue!

How did you determine which program was conflicting with Windows 10 2004 to cause your Password Amnesia? I'm also on build 19041.329 with the recent June Update and I'm having various problems with saved credentials. For example, the email passwords I've entered into my Outlook 2019 work for days but after every reboot they only work for about 45 minutes, at which point these passwords simply GO BLANK and have to be manually reentered. This behavior makes me suspect a conflicting program like you discovered. Clearing all the cached entries in the Credential Manager does't solve the problem. Any other suggestions from anyone would be greatly appreciated.

Well that was a lengthly process... :-) After I reinstalled Windows, I added some credentials to the Credential Manager and then installed one program. Rebooted the PC and checked whether the credentials were still there. After installing MSI Dragon Center, the credentials started to vanish after a reboot. I removed the program, installed the rest of the system and have been using it for several days, without any credentials gone missing. In the past (on Windows 10 1909) I did run into a similiar issues as yours: Outlook would ask me to enter the passwords of some of my e-mail accounts. Specifically those tied to my Microsoft accounts. At some point Windows would also start complaining that there is something wrong with those MS accounts. I manged to solve that by deleting all Office 365-related entries in the Credential Manager and entering the passwords in Outlook/Windows again. First that did not work, but I think Microsoft updated either something in Windows or Office 365 that resolved the issue after several attempts.

I managed to solve the issue.

I first hoped that a fresh install of Windows would solve the problem. This seemed to be the case at first, however at some point when I was reinstalling all my programs, the issue was back again.

It turned out that MSI Dragon Center (software that came with my graphics card) was causing this issue in combination with Windows 10 2004. After uninstalling Dragon Center, Windows Credential Manager started working again.

Had I known this upfront, then I would not have to reinstall Windows...
