I have a Surface Pro 5 with a Windows Hello camera that wasn't working and I wasn't able to fix it. Looked like I'd need to do a reset to fix the drivers, so instead I decided to give 2004 a try, hoping the update would refresh the camera drives. Indeed this worked, but I've been having a lot of problems since the update: Seems like all sorts of applications and OS features won't remember my username/passwords anymore. Every time I log in I have to sign into both one drive personal and one drive business. Outlook keeps asking me to log into my office365 every few hours. Acrobat keeps asking for my Adobe login every time a load a pdf if I haven't done so in a few hours. Settings periodically makes me fix my insider account configuration by re-authenticating with Hello Lastpass extention in Firefox keeps asking me to enter my password despite being configured to only require a fingeprint (it first asks me for my fingerprint, but then also asks for the password) probably some stuff I can't recall right now. I wasn't having any of these issues before the update. I tried following Lastpass's support advice to fix it by reinstalling the extension and resetting several settings but this didn't help. It's possible these are all individual issues, but since it seems to be an issue with remembering credentials across a variety of applications, I'm suspecting it's a system wide issue and maybe not specific to these applications. I checked that the credential manager service is running. It was set to manual. I changed it to automatic and rebooted but this didn't seem to help. Anyone have an idea what could be going on here? Well, this trick was not and is not working for me. The command Get-ScheduledTask | foreach { If (( xml ).GetElementsByTagName("LogonType").'#text' -eq "S4U") { $_.TaskName } } finds nothing in my case. Now after yesturday's update my version is 20H2, 19042.789 and today after booting up the OneDrive asked for password ... again. It is still medded up. How hard can it be to fix??? That's very odd. Other than Onedrive, are you asked for a password anywhere else like websites? No, I'm not being asked for passwords for websites - I'm staying away from Edge so my browser does not depend on Credential Manager :-) Just uninstalled the OneDrive, it is a faulty and I'm fed up with entering password every time I boot up my pc. Used the listed powershell command and a manual check of Task Scheduler for Do Not Save Password/HP tasks, no relevant entries found. Opened Outlook, which has four POP accounts and one Exchange account. The first account's incoming and outgoing emails work, as they did before. All other accounts accept their credentials for sending/receiving. They download emails, send tests OK. Several manual Send/Receive's OK. If Outlook is closed, or simply left open for a while, eventually accounts #2 to #5 start prompting for logins again.

The command

Well, so I am letting you know! The update is installed and after reboot, oh wait, not again 'OneDrive isn't signed in'.

After the installation of OneDrive the record for it in Credential Manager got created.

After shutdown, some time later upon Windows start the 'OneDrive isn't signed in' is displayed and the record in Credential Manager magically disappeared and the 'OneDrive isn't signed in' is shown.

I made an experiment for you, why do I feel like a beta tester?
1. Credential Manager has no record for OneDrive and 'OneDrive isn't signed in' i shown upon system start
2. I login into the OneDrive, and after while (not immediately) the 'OneDrive Cached Credential' appears in Credential Manager
3. I restart the PC, everything seems to be ok, OneDrive logs in automatically
4. I shutdown PC for 5 minutes
5. The PC is started, system boots up and OneDrive logs in automatically, the 'OneDrive Cached Credential' is present in Credential Manager
6. I wait couple of minutes and check the Credential Manager again, the 'OneDrive Cached Credential' record is no longer here, somethin has gobbled it up. Something purposely deletes this record.
7. I restart the PC and of course am welcome by the 'OneDrive isn't signed in'.
The KB4601319 fixed nothing regarding this problem.
