I have a Surface Pro 5 with a Windows Hello camera that wasn't working and I wasn't able to fix it. Looked like I'd need to do a reset to fix the drivers, so instead I decided to give 2004 a try, hoping the update would refresh the camera drives. Indeed this worked, but I've been having a lot of problems since the update: Seems like all sorts of applications and OS features won't remember my username/passwords anymore. Every time I log in I have to sign into both one drive personal and one drive business. Outlook keeps asking me to log into my office365 every few hours. Acrobat keeps asking for my Adobe login every time a load a pdf if I haven't done so in a few hours. Settings periodically makes me fix my insider account configuration by re-authenticating with Hello Lastpass extention in Firefox keeps asking me to enter my password despite being configured to only require a fingeprint (it first asks me for my fingerprint, but then also asks for the password) probably some stuff I can't recall right now. I wasn't having any of these issues before the update. I tried following Lastpass's support advice to fix it by reinstalling the extension and resetting several settings but this didn't help. It's possible these are all individual issues, but since it seems to be an issue with remembering credentials across a variety of applications, I'm suspecting it's a system wide issue and maybe not specific to these applications. I checked that the credential manager service is running. It was set to manual. I changed it to automatic and rebooted but this didn't seem to help. Anyone have an idea what could be going on here? I've tried many suggestions everywhere. All services like Outlook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Youtube, facebook start to authenticate automatically without any problem. It worked by magic first because all stored password where in cache. When I reboot, nothing seems to work again. I had to reenter my passwords again. I was almost in despair but I did it to check if it will be fixed on next reboot. I also had to reenter my credential for Onedrive at startup. Before rebooting my PC a second time, I looked into saved passwords in Edge. All the previous one were gone, as they warned in the above link about solution 8, except the latest credential just entered for the test. I rebooted again, and by magic, everything worked fine this time, including OneDrive. I guess I'll have to reenter credentials lost for other sites, but at least I'm able to say to Edge to remember its credentials, and it work. This problem goes beyong Edge itself which use Windows Credential manager. The problem was about something corrupt in the directory referred in solution 8.

I am the opposite. I've had not problem with my Home Edition, and every problem with my Pro version.

Hopefully this weeks patches really did fix this. Since I have a current backup, I'm going to give it another shot. Tried updating from a fully patched 1909 to 2004. The initial reboot after installing 2004 looked good: all passwords continued to be saved. Then installed some updates for 2004 which required a reboot.... and had to enter in several passwords. Having lived with it most of the day, I can say that it doesn't seem like any of these issues have been fixed. :( I'm restoring my 1909 backup now. I think I'm going to wait for 2009 and hope for the best.
