The 2004 update turned my new Lenovo C940 into a pile of garbage.
Eventually got it to load enough to get to Updates in order to uninstall it, which seems to be the only solution I can find.
- Open Settings.
- Click on Update & Security.
- Click on Recovery.
- Under “Go back to previous version of Windows 10,” click the Get started button. Windows 10 version 2004 recovery options.
- Select a reason why you're uninstalling version 2004.
- Click the Next button.
- Click the No, thanks button.
- Click the Next button
Now remove the laptop works again. But the uninstall also removed Norton 360 so had to resintall that. And it removed the fingerprint recognition, so had to go to Device manager, download the drivers again, then it works.
Then need to go back to Updates and PAUSE Microsoft updates, since the last think you want is for this rubbish to reinstall again in the background
