Windows 10 version 2004 Randomly freezes

Not sure why you would still be seeing a GSOD as that is generally only applicable during the Insider testing stage. It changes to BSOD at or near public release. This is the norm for every version that has come out since 2014.

Been an Insider since day 1, and going through the whole 20H1 cycle, only had a few minor issues. Some like Disk Optimization retaining last run info was never fixed prior to going to Release, even though MS fixed this like 5 months ago in Fast Ring (Dev Channel).

The CU's that have been coming out lately, have made the system quite unstable now. Since updating to .388, have never seen a freeze before. Working away, a simple mouse click, bang, BSOD or a total freeze.

I do run several programs at the same time, heavy multi-tasking, but the amount of work I had to redo due to these crashes and freezes is unbearable.

Seem to recall your posts in the Insider forum regarding Malwarebytes. I only use Windows Security, no 3rd party at all. 

I had to do a total clean install, slightly prior to public release due to SSD failure, replaced the drive and everything worked great till shortly after going public with 19041.

With the last few CU's, system became worse. Two freezes yesterday and followed by a BSOD just after running chkdsk, sfc and dism all showing no issues. On average, I can expect a BSOD every couple days, usually while in the middle of a large project. Yesterday was a new record, and my first freezes.

I have the same issue , i constate this behavior when i make an conference with teams apps , zoom apps  or skype apps  with share screen and VMware Workstation in background.

I have laptop dell precison 5530 with nvidia gaphic card.

I have  as antivirus only microsoft defender

Thank you for posting, we do have some common shared background as I have VMware Workstation, nvidia 1080 graphics but on desktop. I do not use skype or similar, but rather use Bluestacks (Android emulator). Most of my crashes, freezes seem to show running either of those programs, even if in the background.

A simple click in a browser, I use Edge and Chrome, can send this system to a BSOD or freeze. I have run, sfc, dism, memtest, chkdsk and all come back good. BSOD is always memory management or page fault error. Have even disabled and re-enabled the page file.

Thank you. I very much appreciate you taking the time to respond. I wish this helped but I believe my problem has something to do with my Nivdia G-950 graphics card, although Nivdia says it does not.

I am just going to wait another month or two and then download the update. Maybe that will resolve the problem.
