    same here..

Since 2004 windows freezes randomly completly.

Also : the Issues with Explorer I noticed allready in former releases, but since 2004 it is sometime kind of horrible.

Microsoft should think about whether this new development / delivery strategy is really a good one - since that new strategy the Qualitiy of Windows is back to the Vista&Go ages.

Sorry you are still having problems.  Back in June I had huge problems and rolled back to a previous version, them took a gamble and put an apparently fixed version of 2004 back on in July.  It has run flawlessly since then.

Corporate Environment using 2004 since May 2020 when it was released to the public. This is not a Insider Preview build. Please stop telling others that's the issue, because it is not! Users via GPO aren't allowed to use Insider Preview OS. Last Nov, I went through every single device and upgraded to Windows 10. That GPO has been in place since Nov 2019. We don't use a WSUS. People get these updates from Microsoft at will. Since May 2020, 2004 has wreaked havoc across our environment. The last two weeks I have had so many complaints about individual computers freezing for multiple times, losing 15 minutes each time. Start Menu doesn't show up. Error on App being loaded messages. Multitasking between windows is horrible. Search function within Start doesn't show up for 5 minutes after typing the windows key numerous times.  During a work day, it's half the day is lost! There is not one answer to why this is happening. I have been caulking it up to OTA installs failing on one of the patches to 2004 causing these issues. Ten Laptops completely erased, ISO clean install of 2004 and the issue goes away. Whatever Microsoft does via OTA is what is screwing 2004 to be inoperable to the point of starting completely over.

The most recent version of 2004 works absolutely fine.  Roll back and reinstall.

This is very strange because the first install of 2004 was failed in a catatrophic manner with blocking and cyclic freezes, so I proceeded to restore the 1909 from Synology because I did a patch cleanup due to blocking slowness.

After the restore, it's back to normal, so there is no problem with the defective drivers or hardware. A month later, I tried a second time an upgrade from 1909 again in 2004, and now everything is working but with a very small slowdown.

So I didn't have any windows drivers/software/etc modification. Why this cyclic blocking without any error message in the eventlog (system/application/install) ?

    Thanks

    See you

    Nicolas
