Regarding to your requirement, it is not feasible to use both external camera and primary camera at the same time. From your description, if you'd like to share something while have a video meeting with others, you can save the image as a file in your computer and use the screen sharing feature to share it with others. As teachers, we need the secondary camera share feature to teach with.  For instance, if I am demonstrating how to solve an algebra problem with multiple steps, I want to actually solve the problem while interacting with the students.

Try using the whiteboard feature of Teams. You can project a digital whiteboard and do whatever you need to do.  Takes some practice, but is a great collaboration tool for virtually interacting and teaching.

Thank you for your suggestion.  At the moment, the whiteboard feature allows everyone to write on it at the same time and you cannot tell who wrote what.  As a middle school teacher, this option is a bit too dangerous, lol.  I do appreciate your reply, however.

I'm A speech pathologist and it is very important for my students to see me as well the materials I am sharing.  That is why I posted the question about using a second camera.  My school system no longer allows us to use Zoom but I was able to share my materials with a second camera and my students could still see me.
