using a second external camera with microsoft teams

I am an educator and will be using Microsoft Teams with students.  Is there a way to use a second external camera and share that image with the people in your meeting at the same time as the primary camera on my laptop?

    @JeffZellen did you successfully use OBS with teams? I had trouble with Teams not accepting the OBS output as camera input. But this is already a while ago.

    If you are brave about using new technology, I would recommend you play with OBS over at the https://obsproject.com/.  It will let you composite a scene to include multiple cameras and allows you to create a "virtual" camera which is the result of your composited scene. You can then use that as your camera for teams. It sounds complicated and can be a bit much, but there are some very cool things you can do with it.

    A whole series of lame answers from Microsoft and its defenders. Obviously a highly useful concept, and one I use with Zoom all the time. How can a little company in China get it right, and big old Microsoft only defends the incredible miss on this important feature. Oh well, back to Zoom...

    Yes and on a Mac you can deploy the Photobooth camera and size it to sit beside the teams screen.

    When sharing, use the share desktop option so participants will be able to see the PowerPoint/app at the same time as the camera.

    It has been the best work around I’ve been able to find. Hope it helps.
