Auto muting of sound and microphone at random times when in Zoom

when in Zoom both the sound and my microphone randomly auto mute.   I can unmuted them using f5 and f8 buttons but it will later auto mute again.   There appears to be no pattern to the amount of time it stays on.  Sometime 1 minutes sometimes as many as 10.   I do not use any other meeting platforms so don't know if this is a Zoom problem or a microsoft problem.   I am using an HP probook computer that is less than 6 months old.  In Microsoft 10 software.

    I have learned one thing.  If you are in a Zoom meeting AND you want to avoid sound being muted...keep your mic muted when not talking using the KEYBOARD button for the mic (F8) key.  Once I started doing that, the auto-mute function didn't happen again.

    It's not a Windows issue, its a Zoom-HP issue.  Just buying a different HP would make it work (so it seems).

    It could also be a Zoom-Lenovo issue as I am experiencing the same issue on my Ideapad.  Did you happen to find a fix elsewhere?

    I'm having an issue with a relatively new Lenovo Ideapad so definitely NOT a computer issue.  

    This is a Zoom issue or perhaps a Zoom / Microsoft issue.

    Hi

    I'm experiencing this auto mute issue on my Lenovo Ideapad with Microsoft 10.

    I tried your fix above but when I get to point 4. Scroll down and under the "Choose which Microsoft Store apps can access your microphone" toggle off the 'ZOOM' app - I don't have the ZOOM app as one of the options on this list.

    Are you able to help further?

    This auto muting function fixed itself briefly with the latest update but after restarting my computer a couple of days ago, it has returned.

    This is so frustrating as I use Zoom for my business.
