Audio and video pauses automatically

Audio and video pause automatically (and sometimes pause and play) only when I use an internal (Youtube, google) or 3rd party software (windows media player, VLC, films &TVs ).

  1. It happens only when I am playing a video or audio.
  2. No virus (after scan)
  3. Since the spacebar key is usually associated with play & pause, I tried typing something in MS word. I did not see any auto space being generated between 2 letters. (tested for 5 mins)
  4. Autoplay and pause (sometimes just pause) occur maybe after 20 seconds. (it is random)
  5. I can actually see the virtual pause and play button is toggled. (no other error message is shown, it happens as if I am physically pressing the spacebar key.

I've been facing the same issue for the last 6 months I guess I've been updating since but it doesn't help so I just stopped using it for watching movies and stuff please help

    1. Doesn't matter I've used a couple of other softwares too for playing videos but it keeps happening.
    2. Doesn't happen when minimised. It keeps playing on the background without any issues
    3. Laptop. Windows 10
    4. I've used an external keyboard. I even unplugged the power supply of the internal keyboard manually to confirm it was not the keyboard issue.
    5. I tried uninstalling the keyboard driver but it automatically installs itself. I haven't tried uninstalling graphics card driver I'll do it now. Usually it shows every driver is up to date.

I'll list some other problems which happen. oh and It's not touch screen-

    1. Pause play every time I'm watching a video doesn't matter on which app it's running.
    2. Sometimes when I'm on chrome, surfing internet, it randomly plays music.
    3. When I'm on a folder that has jpeg files it opens on it's own on windows media player. And it doesn't stop, I have to search task manager and stop windows media player from there.
    4. Touchpad stops working. So I have to use a mouse instead.

Exact same issues, tried some of the fixes mentioned in this thread like:

    • Disabling cortana
    • Unpairing paired bluetooth devices
    • Checking exclusive mode applications priority in speaker's advanced settings

And obviously other basic steps such as restart, troubleshoot, updating drivers, etc. None of these solved the problem, please reply if something else fixed your issue.

There is only one constant in all answers: bluetooth connection.

Over here my bluetooth Sennheiser headphones (with mic) is causing the problem, once disconnected the audio and video plays smoothly.

Hope the root cause can be determined soon.

EDIT: I found some bluetooth drivers on the fujitsu website, and it seems the problem doesn't occur anymore.

Its simple its happened to me several time finally I found the problem.

its all about wireless keyboard and mouse. when the battery going to dead in the keyboard and mouse this problem rise at that time just simply replace the batteries.

if the problem still there just check all the batteries of wireless devices.

    Thank you.
