Windows 10- Locks up "waiting for cache"

So it is now July 19 and still no issues on two machines in over one month now since I uninstalled Microsoft Chromium Edge.

I do run Malwarebytes on both machines as well and have had no issues with it either.

Update from me; I have figured it out.

Anti Malwarebytes, something I've been using for years was causing my freezing randomly.

I've uninstalled it, and now everything is perfect. But it leaves the question, **** happened to my installation of it? Not sure if it was an update or what but it's staying off my System for now.

It's one of the next to no bloat anti-malware solutions around.

I've been using my system a week straight, continuing to use Google Chrome and I've had zero issues since removal of Anti Malwarebytes.

It may have been trying to scan every RAM process or file and ran into 360s on itself or something.

I still hate chromium.  My online college program forces google browser on me and it does the same waiting for cache 40 second crash on me.  This waiting for cache problem is awful.  I had hoped there would be a stealth fix provided somehow and someway by now but no.  I survived in my support of Windows Phone through all the iterations and failures, please don't make me rethink my use of a PC as well.

Window 10 was working very well until recently after upgrading to Windows Edge chrome (or at least the is the only event that I can associated to this issue) I am getting persistent OS stalls or "not responding" that affect all applications when running Edge. Common to see "waiting for cache" in lower left browser window when the the entire system stalls and stops responding. Common to see the cursor hour glass for 30 or more seconds before system and affected applications start to respond normally.

This is the first thread I've seen that offers a plausible explanation for this new, very annoying, and mysterious behavior. I've been working with computers for three decades, and I've never seen anything that results in not only the app, but the entire OS, hanging... but not permanently, and only with a certain class of software (web browsers).  I've gone ahead and uninstalled Microsoft Edge from the "Apps & Features" interface (it reverted back to 2/28/2020 and removed the paired update app), and I'll post back here if I see the problem disappear.
