"items since last import"

I am so frustrated as I am having the same problem.  I am not sure when it started, sometime in April or May 2020.

I read posts on doing repair and that did not help.

I do not want to lose any photos stored, remove prior Windows updates or reinstall the app.

My import option is defaulted to none and I can select "import all photos" or "none".  If I select the

'items since last import", it freezes and then closes.

So I have to individually select photos.

I think it knows the number since last import as I see it may say "116 photos to import out of 1600" but it does not

select the 116.  If I click on import 116 0f 1600 message, it imports 0 since none are selected.

I hope if enough people complain Windows will fix this in a future update when it was most likely caused by some

update that was automatically done.

I have iphone 8 plus, Windows 10 in Dell Inspiron 1500 series.

I have the same problem with my LG G6 android phone. It is not restricted to the iPhone.

Microsoft does have a free app _ Photo & Video Import - it doesn't do anything other than import.  But it will import as requested and store where your photos as you have previously requested.  I works.  Hope this helps

I also am having the same issue.

I have reset my laptop, hard reset it.

Repaired and reset the app.

Uninstalled the app and reinstalled it from the Microsoft store.

None of this has worked.

Like others have said it was since the march update that ruined the photos app. 

The only success i have is clicking them one by one and trying to remember the last photo i imported =/ terrible
