cannot get my new photos to upload into photos on windows 10

    Microsoft offers a free app in the app store - "photo and Video" import - It works.  Good luck

    This app is NOT made by Microsoft but it DOES work! It also does have ads, and unfortunately you can't choose where or how it stores imported photos, but at least it imports them.

    The built in Windows Photos app is constantly crashing on my parents Windows 10 machine the past few months when trying to import from an SD card, and as a pc tech I could not get anything to fix it. Using the "photo and video import" app works just fine.

    The Photo & Video Import app allows you to select Import All or Import New.

    Thanks for letting us know. For the first time, does the new app import only the new (not yet imported) photos and videos or import all photos and videos in my phone?

    I don't want to risk losing any photos already stored but I assume I wont using the free app
