Hi,

I can run stuff all day (AWS/Vbox/Games), but as soon as I open netflix, machine blue screens with stop code : SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

in dxgmms2.sys

its the netflix windows app - I think when I press play it happens, probably happened 6-7 times now.  Quite consistent.

After a reboot, its fine.  I have not been able to cause a bluescreen doing other things.

Winver : 1909 18363.720

GTX 1070ti

I9-9900

Can anyone help?

Hi,

Like so many people I experienced the Blue Screen with the Netflix App. Everything else was running fine.

I noticed it was only happening after a cold boot of the PC.

If I immediately restarted the PC the Netflix App would run fine.

Recently I solved an other problem with my PC where on cold boot it would sometimes not fully turn on ( the screen would remain dark).

This was solved by changing a setting in the Windows control panel:

under Power Options/ System settings

disable "turn on fast startup".

Since I disabled this I also did not get the Blue Screen in the Netflix App anymore.

Worth a try perhaps.

    Win 10 1909 18363.752

EVGA GTX 1070Ti, driver ver 445.75

    AMD Ryzen 7 2700X

Tried rolling back graphic card driver, no luck.

I tried watching Netflix on the new Edge- used to be able to watch 4k in the old Edge, but I installed the new Chromium one couple of months ago-  with hardware acceleration on, it always gives me a D7361-1253 error. Netflix offers no real troubleshoot for this error. When I turn hardware acceleration in Edge off, it can play without a problem, in 720p just like Chrome of course.
