Servicing Stack Updates

It is recommended to install Servicing stack updates before installing the cumulative updates. This update makes quality improvements to the servicing stack, which is the component that installs Windows updates. Known Issues

Symptom Workaround
After installing KB4493509, devices with some Asian language packs installed may receive the error, "0x800f0982 - PSFX_E_MATCHING_COMPONENT_NOT_FOUND." <ol><br><li>Uninstall and reinstall any recently added language packs. For instructions, see <a href="https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4496404" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer">Manage the input and display language settings in Windows 10</a>.</li><li>Select <span>Check for Updates</span> and install the April 2019 Cumulative Update. For instructions, see <a href="https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4027667" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer">Update Windows 10</a>.</li></ol><br><br>Note If reinstalling the language pack does not mitigate the issue, reset your PC as follows:<br><ol><br><li>Go to the <span>Settings </span>app > <span>Recovery</span>.</li><li>Select <span>Get Started</span> under the <span>Reset this PC</span> recovery option.</li><li>Select <span>Keep my Files</span>.</li></ol><br><br>Microsoft is working on a resolution and will provide an update in an upcoming release.

There are no known issues for KB4549951.

Known issues in this update

Symptom Workaround
We have seen social media reports related to KB4549951 that mention Bluetooth, a stop error with a blue screen, and other related issues. To date, we have not seen these issues reflected in telemetry, support data, or customer feedback channels.     Well as you know these problems with 1903/1909 have been going on since the previous questions from last month :   Cumulative Updates - March 10th 2020  .   I had decided to let my Laptop be updated at the latter part of February to 1909, however it kept failing.  I was advised in community to let my 1809 get up to date & try again, so I waited till March's Patch Tuesday but I got offered no updates through WU, hence that's how I cam across in the community Cumulative Updates - March 10th 2020   .   with 1903/1909.     I also found that I had not been offered any updates through WU for February 25th.     Everything was working fine until the failed 1909 upgrade.   With the number of 1903/1909 users that we having issues in the 19 pages of Cumulative Updates - March 10th 2020  .  I was glad I didn't get the upgrade and thought I'd wait for it to be sorted on April 14th as even if I did a clean install the build would be the same as that everyone was reporting issues with.

    So I was hoping to see the LCU on April 14th sort the issues out, seems not so.   However what happened in my case is no LCU for 1809, just a forced download of 1909, ……..it got to 100% "Getting things ready" and yet failed twice again, I haven't logged off since incase it trys to install b ut there is no download in SoftwareDistribution, and like others have reported "unable to complete ".

    So as I had a stable system prior to the 1909 failed download in February and Microsoft have extended the end of service date, staying with 1809 is the less risky option as end of service now 7 months away, I can't afford to not have my laptop for one day in the present lockdown. 

    Pausing Updates isn't a problem in 1809 but requires wuauserv to be running.  The forced download of 1909  on April 14th also deleted my "Update History".  So I only know what LCU's I'm missing the build number I'm at currently.

    Hello. Yesterday i had updated my win 10 and i just clicked "update and shutdown the pc". Today i wanted to run game CS:GO but i still get blue screen and it tells me that "portcls.sys" failed. What can i do to fix this problem. I checked game files and it was 3 problems that automatically repaired and still nothing changed. Thanks.

    After the update i downloaded a 1.1 Gb program. My Free storage went from 398 to 355. Is their a way to fix this?
