This update makes quality improvements to the servicing stack, which is the component that installs Windows updates. Servicing stack updates (SSU) makes sure that you have a robust and reliable servicing stack so that your devices can receive and install Microsoft updates

To date, we have not seen these issues reflected in telemetry, support data, or customer feedback channels. Both scans came up with errors which the system then sorted. Rescanned to check no errors showing, ran windows Update and the install failed as before with following error message. Last failed install attempt on ‎16/‎04/‎2020 - 0x800f0831

Hello, I am seeing an issue with KB4549951. I use GDI functions in my C# code to convert a Metafile to a WMF byte array, and this seems to be no longer possible after the update. Uninstalling KB4549951 is a temporary fix, and I was able to reproduce this issue on another PC.

I placed some code here in a Gist with which the issue can be reproduced. The problem seems to be the GdipEmfToWmfBits function in gdiplus.dll (which is listed as being changed in this update).

As a side note (and so other people with the same issue can find this post), I use the code in combination with the iText library to place vector images in a PDF. Since the update this shows an error: iText.Kernel.PdfException: 'Not a WMF image.' (iText7) or iTextSharp.text.BadElementException: 'Byte array is not a valid placeable windows metafile.' (iTextSharp)
