Windows Hello PIN Something went wrong. Try again later

I've had my PIN set up for quite some time and all the sudden I received a message that said my organization requires me to update my pin.  This is a personal computer, it does not belong to any organization.  Under the sign in options, Windows Hello Pin, I see a message that says Something went wrong. Try again later.  I removed my PIN and now Add is greyed out.  This PC has no group policy, it's my personal computer so I don't know what went wrong, but I would like to have my PIN back.  Any help would be appreciated.

    My old Intel DG965PZ machine has got a new HW an SSD and I have installed a Win10 home 64bit, everything works impeccably except that it is impossible to create a PIN code. I have tried step 1. but cannot open the NGC folder. Likewise, I have tried step 4. "DWORD entry named value set it to 1" but am not sure which key you mean because there are more dwords see the picture. Yours sincerely Freddie

    Hello

    I've tried all the methods in the first and second ones when I opened the run dialog and entered

    what said to enter it told me that the two files doesn't exist and with the third one the value was already one

    After I have "login" it asked for a PIN which I have entered during installation but does not allow me access. When requesting a new pin either via email or mobile it again fails to get me in and same error message: " Something went wrong. We weren't able to set up your PIN." The solutions above cannot help me restore/remove the pin.

    Instead of using all the different suggestions that I could not make work, I made a local PIN and it works.

    In the history of Microsoft, has a single one of these answers from a Microsoft administrator ever worked? Even once? I’d pay money to see that happen just once!
