Windows Hello PIN Something went wrong. Try again later

I am running windows 10 1909 (OS Build 18363.1316)   Any suggestions?  The fix to registry suggested above did not work for me.

Have tried all three above  methods and none worked.  I still can not setup my pin.

I am running windows 10 Pro. version 2004 (OS build 19041.662)

this started win after ran an windows update  last week end

None of these methods work. Why does Microsoft continue to add complexity and heap massive amounts of unwanted garbage onto its users?

We understand your concern as you are having issues in using and setting up PIN on your PC. In order to get clarity and to assist you accordingly, please reply with the answers to the questions below:

• What is the Windows 10 Version and Build installed? (Type winver in Windows search/Run command)
• Are you aware of any recent changes on the PC prior to this issue?

Meanwhile, we would suggest you to perform these methods and check.

Note:  Important this section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems might occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you follow these steps carefully. For added protection, back up the registry before you modify it. Then, you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.

Follow the steps to take backup of registry.  

Method 1: Delete the NGC folder

1. Open the Run dialog box by pressing the Windows key and the R key together.
2. Type C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Local\Microsoft\NGC and hit the Enter key.
3. Now delete all the contents in the NGC folder
4. Restart the PC and then add PIN in Windows Settings.

Method 2: Using Group policy settings if you have Windows 10 Pro installed.

If you are on Windows 10 Pro edition, you can change the group policy settings to enable PIN sign-in option for all users.

1. Open the Run dialog box by pressing the Windows key and the R key together.
2. Type GPEDIT.MSC and hit the Enter key.
3. Go to Computer Configuration -> Administrative Templates -> System -> Logon.
4. On the right side, double click on Turn on PIN sign-in and select Enable.
5. Similarly disable the other Windows Hello options if any.
6. Exit the Group policy editor and reboot the computer.

Method 3: Using Registry settings if you have Windows 10 Home installed

If you are on Windows 10 Home edition, you can change the registry settings to enable PIN sign-in option for all users.

1. Open the Run dialog box by pressing the Windows key and the R key together.
2. Type Regedit and hit the Enter key.
3. When the Registry Editor opens, navigate to the following location: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\PolicyManager\default\Settings\AllowSignInOptions.
4. In the right pane, double click on the DWORD entry named value set it to 1.

How can I use any of these suggestions when I can not get into the pc.   It is locked for 2 hours.  Any new password Microsoft sends does not work.

This computer is less than 2 months old.

I just want to add my personal outlook email to my shop's outlook email, so I can see both inbox.  I'm logged into my shop outlook email >>> add other account >>> input my personal outlook email, usual stuff>>> input account password >>>input my pin. but it says my pin is incorrect, even though it is correct.  I have these 2 accounts setup and working in this PC, but rather then switch accounts or open a browser, I just wanted to use both emails in the outlook app. Problem started around a week ago and I think there was an update that occurred.
