The update error is to do with the display driver or are you trying to update to 19592 Insider version?
with the display driver but the updated version is not automatic?

https://www.asus.com/Laptops/ASUS-VivoBook-15-X542UA/HelpDesk_Download/ you can also get the driver for your latop here but Microsoft is taking over a lot of drivers (DCH) to make Windows 10 more stable especially video drivers.
Insider installs can have a lot of problems so it shouldn't be installed on your main computer, dual boot or use Hyper-V or those type of programs so Insider installs are on a separate part of the hard drive, always have good backups.
