While you cannot return to S mode once you've switched out, many of S mode's protections can be enabled through the Windows Security app and settings. Please try enabling those protections whether your PC is currently in S mode or not.
How much did u pay the HP support advisor and what malware did ur computer form?
I had to switch off my s-mode to allow the PC Protect tech to complete their anti virus download. I was told that it can be switched back on. Is my s-mode now switched on?
I just purchase a Go2 and received the computer today from Amazon - I did not know anything about S mode and it switched me out when I downloaded google chrome and now I cannot switch back and Amazon will not take the computer back - has to be dead arrival - so I just spent and wasted over $700 - this has to be illegal my opinion (of course I am not a lawyer so I do not know that factually. ) I am going to make a formal complaint to Amazon- I should have bought the computer from Best buy - it could be returned - I bought from Amazon - because I was impatient - should have waited. This is wrong by Microsoft - it will bite them in the **** eventurally
I think I get it. We cant go back to s mode after we switch to Windows Home to motivate us to buy Windows Pro for security. I hope I am wrong. I do not understand the logic of not allowing a user to go back to Windows S mode.
I am wrong?
Can we go back in BIOS ?
