hello

please I want to know how to switch back to s mode or know if with this mode my pc is exposed, venerable.

CAN YOU PLS PUT ME BACK IN S PLS

Hi there,

While you cannot return to S mode once you've switched out, many of S mode's protections can be enabled through the Windows Security app and settings. Please try enabling those protections whether your PC is currently in S mode or not.

    Hi there,

    Once a PC has switched from S mode, it cannot switch back to S mode. Switching from S mode is a one-way operation, and it is described this way in the Store where there is a summary of changes that happen once switched. You can, however, enable additional security settings in Windows Security. For example, go to Windows Security > App & browser control, and enable the available settings there, including Reputation-based protection which protects your PC from unrecognized apps online.

    Hi there, Fiona. S mode cannot be reenabled on a PC that has switched out. Switching out of S mode is permanent.

    I mentioned an alternative setting above that enables some of the protections offered by S mode: go to Windows Security > App & browser control, and enable the available settings there, including Reputation-based protection which protects your PC from unrecognized apps online.
