please I want to know how to switch back to s mode or know if with this mode my pc is exposed, venerable.

CAN YOU PLS PUT ME BACK IN S PLS

While you cannot return to S mode once you've switched out, many of S mode's protections can be enabled through the Windows Security app and settings. Please try enabling those protections whether your PC is currently in S mode or not.
I absolutely hate S mode. I can't even download the drivers for my new printer and cannot do UI remote to scan to email with Edge and S mode will not let me download Chrome or any other browser. It is too strict. I can't work with a computer this strict. Can't use it for business.
I got rid of S mode and got Norton. This was too frustrating. Now all is well.... I just have to pay for Norton.
I just purchase a Go2 and received the computer today from Amazon - I did not know anything about S mode and it switched me out when I downloaded google chrome and now I cannot switch back and Amazon will not take the computer back - has to be dead arrival - so I just spent and wasted over $700 - this has to be illegal my opinion (of course I am not a lawyer so I do not know that factually. ) I am going to make a formal complaint to Amazon- I should have bought the computer from Best buy - it could be returned - I bought from Amazon - because I was impatient - should have waited. This is wrong by Microsoft - it will bite them in the **** eventurally
I did a similar thing with my new laptop I ordered FROM AMAZON because of their prime day. Received it today - went through their ongoing questions to get it set up. First thing I went to download was Turbo Tax and got the message to get out of S Mode. If Microsoft knows how to turn it off - then they know how to turn it back on. But instead they chose to find a way to make you purchase more from them. I wish I too had just purchased it at Best Buy, or ANYWHERE else.
Next place I went was WORD to write directly to those causing this issue. Can't sign in to WORD because in 5 days they will disable it. Then they won't let me in now - because the password is wrong. Every time I try to move on this computer, I have to sign on to Microsoft and every time they say the password is invalid and I start over. My email is FULL of their email telling me a change was made.
But based on all these replies and posts it appears the people reading about the problems are here but Microsoft just couldn't care about it. That restriction should be displayed the first time you turn it on. I cannot believe I've still got to go back and set up other security settings.
Someday Microsoft will be stopped because everyone will be so sick of this (and know that Apple is not an ,alternative) will have more knowledge of these issues and will come up with just an honest straightforward way to put a complete product out there with real flexibility.
Till then - I'll dump their S Mode into my Co-mode and flush.
