I am sick of connecting through Bluetooth on my Windows 10
I am so sick of this happening everytime. How can it be so bad? Is Microsoft doing absolutely nothing to fix this.
It makes me want to throw my laptop and pull out my hair. Then I remember, how stupid of me. This has got to do with my Windows, software. How will throwing my laptop help. And then I remember again; if it's a software - it can be fixed! Fix it please!! You made such a huge operating system, you can maybe fix a bluetooth.
PS - I'll check this thread later. I need to restart my system again, need to connect to bluetooth

I have used the IO Gear on my old work pc that has windows 7 without any problems. I have used 2 different dongles for bluetooth on windows 10 computers and i fight with connection. I just keep reclicking the connect button on the bluetooth settings screen with my device paired to it and after a few trys it finally connects. That's my fix
Wow. That is a lot of responses to something that apparently is not a problem or at least not their problem. For those who have shared their frustration with Windows focusing on new features instead of fixing the old ones is spot on, but unfortunately not just a Windows issue. I have experienced this with software that continues to promote new features and still haven't fixed the ability to print a list or note that you create in the product made to create notes! Really? As for our Bluetooth problem, at this point the only thing I have been able to do to solve the issue with my Bluetooth mouse staying connected is leave a USB dongle plugged into the laptop. I assume the issue is something to do with power control that we can't mess with and believe me I have tried. Has anyone ever bought a car recently that is so called ecofriendly only to find the tech breaks in the first 2 years that costs thousands to fix or leads to a recall that eventually leads to costing you money shortly after to fix the fix? Same thing. What sells cars? Stickers that state high gas millage no matter what it costs you to fix down the road. What sells laptops? Battery life no matter what problems you have getting it to work once it belongs to you. We live in a where companies no longer care about the quality of their products. The only product companies care about is how their stock is doing or how bloated their software is so they can win the lottery by selling their company to Google.
Frankly, at this point we should realize Microsoft doesn't care about this issue and will most definitely use the windows 10 bluetooth issues as a selling point for windows 11. I've made a list of things the developers forgot how to do that worked seamlessly in windows 7...
1 anything related to bluetooth with a non-microsoft product (even then it's sketchy)
2 connect and utilize more than a single network connection at a time
3 have sound from one application output to more than one audio output
4 manage multiple graphics adapters
5 retain settings from one update to the next
6 still haven't managed to understand that edge is a PoS and will never replace Chrome
7 security keys...there was an update this year that broke them forcing the use of "windows security" to manage them instead of expensive dedicated software built specifically for that purpose
My personal issue with bluetooth is that the first time I connect a device it works perfectly...but after an indeterminate amount of time windows disconnects and will never reconnect. The error I get is "We didn't get any response from the device. Try connecting again." and that's where the bluetooth functionality ends. My android device has never had an issue with bluetooth nor has my Windows 7 device...same peripherals just Windows 10 is the issue
Maybe one day I'll make the full switch to linux...cause Windows is making it obvious they don't care about fixing anything.
It's been 20 months since this thread was created and windows solution is and will forever be "turn it off and turn it back on"...how about you just turn Microsoft off and...that's it...accept that it's a failed product now
It is absolutely terrible. I spend an hour last night to jump thru hoops, run around the block, swear, etc and finally got it working again. Just to find out this morning that again it is not working. This has happened a number of times already. Apparently you need a degree in IT to operate a system that you paid for that should be user friendly, but clearly it is just a load of ****. I strongly feel that I will be moving away from windows in the future with my next laptop purchase. I refuse to pay people to annoy me and cause random frustration. This has been a problem for years now, and clearly Microsoft could not care to address the matter what so ever. No customer satisfaction considerations from Microsoft. Absolutely terrible. I wish there was a rating system for operating systems, then the true uselessness of Microsoft will be open for everyone to see, and will either get people to move to a operating system that does not go out of its way to sour your live, waste your time and money, or if hell freezes over, maybe Microsoft will decide to attend to problems instead of just ignoring their customers complaints.

Does not help. I am M.Sc CSE -- I have the same poor sound as the rest. The mouse connected thru BT works -I guess I am lucky
