Why is Windows 10 Bluetooth so so so bad ?

I am sick of connecting through Bluetooth on my Windows 10

  1. Disconnects automatically randomly
  2. Bluetooth is on but can't connect to the device because it tells that your bluetooth is off.
  3. Devices appear when bluetooth is toggled off, disappear when toggled on.
  4. Nothing happens no matter what you try. The only solution is to restart your device.
  5. After restarting, works for some time. Then randomly ... (please start from point 1 again).

I am so sick of this happening everytime. How can it be so bad? Is Microsoft doing absolutely nothing to fix this.

It makes me want to throw my laptop and pull out my hair. Then I remember, how stupid of me. This has got to do with my Windows, software. How will throwing my laptop help. And then I remember again; if it's a software - it can be fixed! Fix it please!! You made such a huge operating system, you can maybe fix a bluetooth.

PS - I'll check this thread later. I need to restart my system again, need to connect to bluetooth

I just rated thread 5 star for it's duration, volume of contributions and excellent BT rant.

I just switched from Mac to Windows and bought a sweet Logitech mouse. At first BT actually connected...then pointer would freeze and stutter. I had to switch to the dongle which works. 2022 and still using dongles to connect BT devices is completely insane.

Even more insane I bought 2 microsoft arc mice and neither paired. I could not believe the first did not pair right of the box, so returned, wondering what could go wrong with a mouse? Second one same thing, no pair, and returned it.

I've updated with latest of everything, this is a new build. The BT is just so bad.

I've tried using the BT built-in in my MSI laptop and I've also tried using an external one. On the external one I have exactly the same problems with BT lagging and stuttering that I have on the built-in one, sometimes even worse.

I even tried installing Linux on my laptop (Pop!_OS) and to my surprise, the Bluetooth there works flawlessly, unlike on Windows. I will test how games work on Pop!_OS, especially the VR ones, and if it's okay, I think I'll be making my move there for good.
