Why is Windows 10 Bluetooth so so so bad ?

I am sick of connecting through Bluetooth on my Windows 10

  1. Disconnects automatically randomly
  2. Bluetooth is on but can't connect to the device because it tells that your bluetooth is off.
  3. Devices appear when bluetooth is toggled off, disappear when toggled on.
  4. Nothing happens no matter what you try. The only solution is to restart your device.
  5. After restarting, works for some time. Then randomly ... (please start from point 1 again).

I am so sick of this happening everytime. How can it be so bad? Is Microsoft doing absolutely nothing to fix this.

It makes me want to throw my laptop and pull out my hair. Then I remember, how stupid of me. This has got to do with my Windows, software. How will throwing my laptop help. And then I remember again; if it's a software - it can be fixed! Fix it please!! You made such a huge operating system, you can maybe fix a bluetooth.

PS - I'll check this thread later. I need to restart my system again, need to connect to bluetooth

    i even bought a bluetooth 5.0 dongle thinking it might solve this issue but it's still the same. total waste. never had such issues on mac.

    Nearly 3 years later and Microsoft has done nothing to address this issue.

    My Galaxy Buds Pro work flawlessly with every other device I've tried them with. Android, Iphone, Linux, my bluetooth piano, you name it.

    Yet when trying to use them with Windows, I experience issues nearly constantly on every computer I've tried.

    -Unable to find bluetooth device

    -Unable to connect to new device

    -Unable to connect to a previously paired device

    -Randomly decides it is no longer an audio device

    -Randomly disconnects

    -Connects but does not work

    -Unable to remove a paired device

    I'm pretty sure I've encountered issues with every aspect of bluetooth. Issues that ONLY occur on Windows.

    It is unacceptable that Microsoft has done nothing to remedy these issues. Bluetooth is an essential feature for many peoples workflows.

    Every problem I have with Windows makes the switch to POP OS look more and more tempting. I'm thinking this will be my final Windows device.

    I am tired of this s**t. Why do I have to pay for something that DOESN'T work at the first place? Microsoft couldn't care less about their users!

    I find all BT technology totally dysfunctional. Its not that it doesnt work its just so hit and miss, working oneday then unable to connect the next no matter what you do. you pair a device on windows 10 and next time you start up its gone or you get the message ..."something went wrong...". I know what went wrong buying a windows laptop/device.

    This is all very well but, and it is a big but. Windows has never worked well with bluetooth going back to my first bluetooth devices (windows 7). I have had many bluetooth audio devices over the years. Each one has worked flawlessly with my android phones. Sometimes I have had trouble with linux machines but have managed to resolve the issues by installing suitable drivers and or applications. But every windows device including windows 7, 8 10 and 11 devices have had issues either connecting or randomly disconnecting. Even when they are connected they sometimes pick a poor audio quality profile for some reason. Removing and reinstalling the bluetooth drivers, repairing etc sometimes fixes it for a while before it breaks again. Problem has been around for more than 10 years. It will probably never get fixed.
