Why is Windows 10 Bluetooth so so so bad ?

The problem with that theory is that linux rarely has issues with bluetooth on the same variety of hardware. And it also works fine on every mobile phone I've tried.

Windows device support just plane sucks!!!

Spent 2 God Damn hours today trying to get my HP printer with 5 trays of various types and sized of paper to just let me pick from 1 GOD DAMN Tray. Nope. Windows is apparently far better than I in determining the correct tray to print from. Why would we let you try to pick the tray you want to use. You are an idiot! You cannot be entrusted to pick such things.

Oh and the bluetooth device that you have laying across your keyboard. Yeah, I don't see that. I don't care that you phone sees it, nor your iPad. It doesn't exist, because you Z-book running Windows 11 doesn't see it.

Microsoft. YOUR OS SUCKS!!!!!! LEAVE THE GOD DAMN THING ALONE!!! I HAD BETTER LUCK WITH WINDOWS 7 than anything since. Quit **** it all up. Every year you try to make the damn thing smarter, and just.... DIFFERENT. and Every GOD DAMN year, it only gets worse. LEAVE IT THE **** ALONE!

Nearly a year later and all I can report is that the issues have gotten worse.
I would rather fix 100 faulty printers than try to connect 1 Bluetooth device to windows.

The state of bluetooth in windows is a complete embarrassment especially compared to much smaller operating systems that handle it 1000x better.

The fact that Microsoft representatives are silent in this thread says a lot.

I just found this page after weeks of frustration trying to get a new Logitech bluetooth keyboard and mouse to work on a Windows 11 with all the updates. In the end, as in most cases in the past, I am forced to use proprietary wireless adapters.

The state of bluetooth connectivity in microsoft's operating system is pitiful and I find it surprising that it is not mentioned more often.

I started experiencing problems with Bluetooth in Windows 7 when I tried to use a wireless headset, the device would pair and seemingly work correctly but every so often the sound would drop out and then come back again. On the PC I was using an old USB adapter for Bluetooth so I figured the problems would come from bad drivers as on my smartphone everything worked perfectly.

Fast forward a few years and again I try to pair via bluetooth a new device, this time a wireless mouse. This time it is a brand new PC with integrated bluetooth and Windows 10. Now there were two problems, on the one hand the mouse was disconnecting every so often and on the other hand every so often I was experiencing latency problems.

About the problem concerning the disconnections I managed to partially solve it by disabling the power management of the device. However, the latency problem was never solved and I finally opted to use the manufacturer's proprietary wireless adapter.

Finally, this week, with a new computer purchased a month ago, with the latest generation bluetooth support integrated in an Asus Prime motherboard, with the latest firmware and drivers, using Windows 11 operating system with the latest updates...

The device is now a combination of a wireless mouse "Logitech MX Anywhere 3S" and a wireless keyboard "Logitech MX Keys mini"... EXACTLY THE SAME PROBLEM.

Disconnects, delays, unresponsiveness, the usual full set. To top it off these devices do not include a proprietary wireless adapter from the manufacturer so I was forced to return them to the store or buy the corresponding adapter.

I have tried every single solution I could find on the internet, re-pairing, turning off other 2.4 frequency devices, changing the 2.4 WiFi channel, disabling power saving, everything, ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING.

These are all devices that I have also tested on my W10 laptop at work, working in the office (so we rule out weird interferences at home) with the same problem.

And just to confirm, all of these devices have ALWAYS worked CORRECTLY on my Smartphone, my tablet, my Steam Deck, etc.

Guess what headphones in the entire globe work flawlessly with Windows?
