Why is Windows 10 Bluetooth so so so bad ?

I am sick of connecting through Bluetooth on my Windows 10

  1. Disconnects automatically randomly
  2. Bluetooth is on but can't connect to the device because it tells that your bluetooth is off.
  3. Devices appear when bluetooth is toggled off, disappear when toggled on.
  4. Nothing happens no matter what you try. The only solution is to restart your device.
  5. After restarting, works for some time. Then randomly ... (please start from point 1 again).

I am so sick of this happening everytime. How can it be so bad? Is Microsoft doing absolutely nothing to fix this.

It makes me want to throw my laptop and pull out my hair. Then I remember, how stupid of me. This has got to do with my Windows, software. How will throwing my laptop help. And then I remember again; if it's a software - it can be fixed! Fix it please!! You made such a huge operating system, you can maybe fix a bluetooth.

PS - I'll check this thread later. I need to restart my system again, need to connect to bluetooth

    I have the same experience.

    Cannot get my Sennheiser PXC 550 headset to work with high quality on Windows 10 w/o a cable.

    Over BT on  W10 the sound quality is really bad.

    Works flawlessly over BT to my Android 9 phone.

    Would love to have decent tools to troubleshoot.

    I believe the root cause is driver on Windows 10 but cannot tell for sure.

    For business reasons I have not switched to use Linux my main platform for laptops. Not yet.

    I recently upgraded my cpu and mobo, the mobo includes a new version of Bluetooth. windows, kindly as it is, reminded what Bluetooth devices I had connected. but you're mistaking if you think they still work! I couldn't just remove them with the **** windows setting program they try to force you trough your nose. every time I try to remove one it says "failed to remove". So I tried my dear old friend control panel and scrolled a long time through my device manager list and tried to delete all evidence of Bluetooth connected devices. sadly I still haven't found the drivers for my cadmouse and thus cannot use it...

    I just walked 15 min halfway across campus to the library. Only to realize that I forgot my wired headphones. My Bluetooth headphones won't work. So here I am pissed off and swearing off windows. Literally created this account to complain. **** Windows BT.

    I had the exactly same problem once, but with WiFi, not Bluetooth. The service center technician stated that the wireless card was damaged. After replacing the card everything worked fine.

    I challenged why the problem happened in Windows only because I couldn't reproduce it in Linux. The support guy told me that it depends on the firmware, which is loaded into the WiFi chip when the adapter is started. This firmware is developed by the device manufacturer, not the OS vendor. Maybe Linux was using a different firmware profile by default, which didn't cause the same errors.

    The same is applicable to Bluetooth.
