Why is Windows 10 Bluetooth so so so bad ?

I am sick of connecting through Bluetooth on my Windows 10

  1. Disconnects automatically randomly
  2. Bluetooth is on but can't connect to the device because it tells that your bluetooth is off.
  3. Devices appear when bluetooth is toggled off, disappear when toggled on.
  4. Nothing happens no matter what you try. The only solution is to restart your device.
  5. After restarting, works for some time. Then randomly ... (please start from point 1 again).

I am so sick of this happening everytime. How can it be so bad? Is Microsoft doing absolutely nothing to fix this.

It makes me want to throw my laptop and pull out my hair. Then I remember, how stupid of me. This has got to do with my Windows, software. How will throwing my laptop help. And then I remember again; if it's a software - it can be fixed! Fix it please!! You made such a huge operating system, you can maybe fix a bluetooth.

PS - I'll check this thread later. I need to restart my system again, need to connect to bluetooth

    Bluetooth works fine on my iPhone but I will be returning my Bluetooth device because I am forced to use Microsoft for my job.  I will buy an audio device that is wired because Microsoft quality assurance has absolutely failed here.

    I actually exchanged three pairs of headphones in the past 5 months because I thought that the issue was with the devices. Of course, I used the Microsoft bluetooth mouse with my Microsoft Surface Laptop, and a Microsoft bluetooth keyboard as well, and NEITHER of these work fluently!

    My mouse keeps being reconnected, so that I end up having like 30 mice connected in my device list (all the same Microsoft mouse). My keyboard keeps hanging and has a slow response. My headphones keep having connection problems so that listening to music is just impossible to enjoy.

    My phone has ZERO issues with my headphones...

    How is this possible?

    Same here. My laptop loses my Bluetooth mouse and keyboard every few weeks. The toggle in settings has disappeared so I can’t switch it back on. Sometimes I can get it back by updating drivers and sometimes that doesn’t work so I have to reset the laptop and reinstall windows. Ridiculous. 

    I only use windows for work because I have to. I’ve used Apple for 15 years and never had Bluetooth issues. Never dropped connections to mouse, trackpad or keyboard- or anything else for that matter. 

    The fact Microsoft haven’t sorted it just reinforces my view that windows is rubbish.

    One person said you have to learn how to use it.... it’s Bluetooth! for every other manufacturer it just works. Why should we have to find work arounds just to use a mouse!!!

    I’m sick of it so I’m going to go back to the old wired options! Microsoft a modern company....lol

    Bluetooth hasn't worked properly on Windows for a long time. When I had Windows 7, I could connect bluetooth headphones with no issue. After upgrading to Windows 10, the connection is unreliable and drops, the audio stutters constantly and the whole experience is just frustrating to say the least! And it definitely is the OS because I tried installing Linux on the same hardware and bluetooth works perfectly! I also have a Windows 10 laptop, and again I can't use bluetooth headphones with it because if I move more than a few centimeters from the laptop the headphones disconnect.

    Microsoft, why hasn't this been fixed? It's been years and years and years. It's truly pathetic.
