When you find yourself scratching your head wondering why a bunch of smart people could leave core, basic functionality like bluetooth not working, maybe the answer is that it's that way on purpose. Maybe it's not seen as strategic for Windows laptops to have good bluetooth?
Microsoft doesn't make these laptops, but the bluetooth has been really really **** on my Dell, Toshiba, and HP laptops, and it works great on Apple.
This has to be a strategic decision by all these companies. There's no way that such a core and glaring functionality could suck so hard across all these laptop vendors, when, obviously, it doesn't have to.
