Hi Can-Can. If you have someone you can trust and have dealt with in the past, then you are probably wise to let them do it. After reading many of these posts, and realizing that many of them had Anti Virus other then Microsoft Defender, Malware & Firewall,
I made the decision to install them myself. And I had no issues at all.
My sister disabled her McAfee Anti Virus and hers installed fine. It is a choice you must make. Some have taken their PC's into places they had never been to and were told they needed a new computer, so if you have used this Company before and trust them,
then you would be okay going that route. Understand that I am 80 and just making suggestions on what I have experienced.
Be sure you already have the 1903 one. Type in Winver on Cortana search. It will bring up what you have installed right now. If you have 1903 it will say Version 1903.
I just "Resumed Updates", checked for Updates, got the Cumulative one first, installed it, then restarted, then went back and checked again for Updates, got the Feature 1909 and downloaded and Installed it. Took 10 minutes. Your PC will automatically
restart a few times while it installs it.
Only once did I refuse to Install something.
When Windows 10 came out, I had Windows 7. I got the package to Install Windows 10, but just would not do it myself, so I let it sit there for months, then one day I had a Regular Update that would not install with my Windows 7 system, so I called Microsoft
and allowed Microsoft in to fix that update. While in there for that, he noticed I had that Upgrade to 10 sitting there and asked if I intended to Install it, and I said, I would like to but I am afraid to. That Microsoft Technician did it for me, and it
took all day, so good thing I did not try it. I have had no issues with Windows 10 since. That was way back in 2016.
YESTERDAY, April 7th, I had issues with my Internet, thinking maybe it had something to do with the New Updates, even though it had been days since I installed them with no issues since. I did Troubleshoot, rebooted my Modem. No success, so called my Internet
Provider. Got recording there was an Outage in my area, would be fixed by 6PM. Was up and running by 4PM. So not the Update causing that issue.
Good Luck to you. Hope this helps you.
