Cumulative Updates - March 10th 2020

It's ironic, I actually did hold back (and rolled back) on updates thinking the sound issue would be resolved, but I was incorrect. Thanks for your reply and your advice Bob.

I’ve lost all my USB ports after last update...not able to update the driver..not able to use mouse or keyboard..

I tried everything in the last 3 days..

My only suggestion to you, is once you get your audio working again (or maybe even BEFORE) do what a lot of us are doing and POSTPONE further updates.

It's under Settings->Update and Security->Windows Update->Advanced Options->Pause Updates.

You would think, that this being a Microsoft Forum, someone actually FROM Microsoft would add some advice, but in 15 pages I've seen no such person arrive.

Since updating to 1909, my audio no longer works.. no matter what I try. This happened the last time I installed a cumulative windows update, don't recall which build that was. I had to roll back as the only way to fix it. Now the next cumulative update has been installed on my machine and the same issue is back. I can roll back again.. but is there anything I else?

I have tried restarting the windows audio service, checking for latest drivers, etc.  The audio troubleshooter is worthless, so is checking cables, etc. 

I have a Sound blaster Audigy 2 and 'built in' audio on my ASUS P8P67 mobo. Neither works after the update. 

version 1909, build 18363.752

Any help would be appreciated.

Changelog for Cumulative updates released on March 10th, 2020 are as under:

1. Windows 10 1903 and 1909~~: KB4540673~~ (OS Builds 18362.719)
2. Windows 10 version 1809: KB4538461(OS Build 17763.1098)*

For Windows 10 1903/1909, It is recommended to install servicing stack update KB4541338 before installing the cumulative updates.

KB4551762 is now available for Windows 10 version 1903 and version 1909 that jumps the build number to 18362.720 and 18363.720. See this for more information.
