Dec 3, 2019 is not what we are talking about.  March 10, 2020 is the critter causing trouble, so I do not try anything unless it is dated after today, April 2, 2020.  Will not click on any links or follow any instructions outdated.  None of these links provided show dates, so that is not good enough to trust it will work.  One I hear that they do work, and so far after 19,315 comments here and views, no one has commented that anything worked yet, so mine will stay Paused. Thanks

Changelog for Cumulative updates released on March 10th, 2020 are as under:

1. Windows 10 1903 and 1909~~: KB4540673~~ (OS Builds 18362.719)
2. Windows 10 version 1809: KB4538461(OS Build 17763.1098)*

For Windows 10 1903/1909, It is recommended to install servicing stack update KB4541338 before installing the cumulative updates.

Update 12/03/2020

KB4551762 is now available for Windows 10 version 1903 and version 1909 that jumps the build number to 18362.720 and 18363.720. See this for more information.

Windows Update doesn't work - when I go to the Settings screen and click check for updates, the screen freezes

Go to Settings, then Update & Security, then Advanced Options, then scroll down to "Pause" Updates, pick a date to Pause it.  Updates there will disappear until you take it off Pause.
