Dear Microsoft Team, I'm so happy that you have created and prioritized this update. Your fabulous intelligent update system has made its own decision to install it. And it has not asked a single question. This update showed me how miserable my activities and business were. I had a whole hour for meditation in front of this blue screen. Than you once again for breaking all my plans today. They are nonsense comparing to super important update.

You will need to get a Windows 10 installation disk to fix this, boot from the DVD and click on Command Prompt. Copy the entire C drive to a backup drive using the xcopy command. Quoting an article on the subject: "Type xcopy c:\ f:\ /s /e /h /i /c /y and press Enter to copy all the files and subdirectories (including any empty subdirectories, any system or hidden files) from drive C to drive F. If it doesn't work, reboot using the DVD yet again, and re-install Windows 10. The backup drive has all of your personal data.

Hi J_K0, thanks for the warning. I am sorry you have had so many problems. I will try and keep putting off these updates as long as possible. I actually wrote down the date, and stuck it next to my computer so that I would never forget, as I did last month. When I went to turn on the computer, it was forcing updates on me, and even when I shut the computer off, it still updated when I turned my computer back on. Effectively, ruining my computer some more. So, the day before these updates are supposed to resume, I will make sure and extend the "pause" time. For you know, this is not really MY computer, after all, and I am not "allowed" to stop updates completely. It makes me wish I could get a damned refund for this thing, because unlike Windows 7 (which I loved) Windows 10 has been utterly awful.

Since installing the 1909 feature update, Run As Administrator (from right click, or from menu as in the common case of Command Prompt) fails to do anything. No change in process count in Task Manager. Very inconvenient, I have needed to create separate Admin-enabled shortcuts for the tasks I regularly need to perform (cmd, VAMT, etc). IMO as a software engineer (retired) pretty obviously a bug or some sort of mis-feature. I have done all the usual checks of my system - SFC, virus checker, etc. UAC works fine, but is just not invoked at all by clicking on Run As Administrator. Everything else works correctly, and I know it was the 1909 update that did this because it worked just before installing, and did not work just after the install.
