My headphone and mic jacks on my pc do not work and I have been trying for hours to get my on board sound working. I got the realtek drivers from my board manufacturer and every time I install them I get (Code 10 : Device cannot start.) I have tried updating and I have the newest driver so I am entirely stuck here.
I have tried many different realtek drivers and none work, not even the one supplied by the manufacturer so I would really appreciate if anyone could walk me through how to actually get my sound working.
I have a Z390 Phantom Gaming 4 board and Intel i5 9600K chip.

Not sure if there's anything else there that might help me, but I did get my realtek driver and inf drivers from there. Really don't understand why it won't just work when I install it. Why would a brand new up to date sound driver just not be able to even run at all?

2020-03-23T08:17:13+00:00 Interesting, according to the asrock site, the realtek audio control should install with the drivers automatically but it doesn't so I tried to manual link to the microsoft store app for it. I can't even download it there. Fails with code 0x803FB005. So not only can my sound driver not start, I am unable to even download the console for its use. Something is very wrong here and I am probably going to wipe my system and try again on a fresh windows install tomorrow as this seems to be beyond any common solution.

Unzip the folder, copy/paste all the files into a brand new empty folder, install using setup.exe from the new folder.

Clean Install Windows 10
Mine is a different computer, but your Device Manager looks weird enough in comparison to justify a clean install. It has only one audio output (which I guess belongs to the Steinberg CI1)...
And it appears to have three audio devices where I'd expect only two -- one internal & one external.
Those top two of yours are alternative drivers for one audio device. They shouldn't both show up for a single device, unless maybe you are showing hidden devices (View menu item). But it doesn't look as if you are. And I don't get the second one even when I do.
After the clean install, definitely do not install that Steinberg until all is well without it. Then see what happens afterwards.
