Disable Touch Pad on HP Laptop running Windows 10.

I can no longer disable Touchpad (Synaptics SMBus Touchpad) on HP laptop with windows 10. Typical Disabling Driver options through Device control panel are not available. Disable driver options are grayed out. Are there other ways to disable the touch pad? Key strokes shortcuts, etc.?

Latest updates installed. Tried to uninstall touchpad but it just reinstalles automatically upon restart.

    The device manager shows the new driver, 19.5.35.50. But Microsoft Store shows "I own it" then changes to "error" when I try to download it. So I clicked on  "extract" on the driver in my documents folder and nothing happens except the page increases in size. 

    What next?

    Did you create an empty folder and copy all the files into the empty folder first --- and then click the brown box.

    That was the screen shot I sent. Should I delete all that and download again from the Microsoft Update Catalog?

    If the brown box is a compressed file and you extracted it --- then there should be another folder with the individual files contained in the compressed brown box.
