Disable Touch Pad on HP Laptop running Windows 10.

I can no longer disable Touchpad (Synaptics SMBus Touchpad) on HP laptop with windows 10. Typical Disabling Driver options through Device control panel are not available. Disable driver options are grayed out. Are there other ways to disable the touch pad? Key strokes shortcuts, etc.?

Latest updates installed. Tried to uninstall touchpad but it just reinstalles automatically upon restart.

    The device manager shows the new driver, 19.5.35.50. But Microsoft Store shows "I own it" then changes to "error" when I try to download it. So I clicked on  "extract" on the driver in my documents folder and nothing happens except the page increases in size. 

    What next?

    Restart the computer as instructed.

    Then after the computer is restarted, run Microsoft Store to see if you still have the error. If no error, Microsoft Store should install the app automatically.

    If still error, then run the brown box.

    Updated the new driver. Do I restart my computer as instructed first or click on the brown box?

    I downloaded the cab file with no problem. Do you know where your download folder is?

    Create an empty folder, copy all the contents of the cab file into the empty folder. FIRST --- update with Device Manager for one of the inf file --- just point the device manager to the whole folder and it will choose the right one.

    Look at the release notes --- that's your case. Basically every single issue in the whole page is about legacy-DCH migration problem.

    The brown box is the app installation file --- may need to double click that AFTER you update the driver.

    I googled the driver 19.5.35.50 and got this page. I downloaded the driver to my downloads folder but I can't find it when I try to install it with the device manager.
