Disable Touch Pad on HP Laptop running Windows 10.

I can no longer disable Touchpad (Synaptics SMBus Touchpad) on HP laptop with windows 10. Typical Disabling Driver options through Device control panel are not available. Disable driver options are grayed out. Are there other ways to disable the touch pad? Key strokes shortcuts, etc.?

Latest updates installed. Tried to uninstall touchpad but it just reinstalles automatically upon restart.

    I reset the MS store. It still showed that I owned the app. I tried to download it again and rec'd the error msg again.  I did find the synhpconsumerdapp in my download folder. I clicked on it to open and got this message:

    One last idea, reset the Microsoft Store and see you are still getting errors.

    I am totally out of idea, I think you will get more help from HP if it doesn't work.

    I have no idea. Double clicking the synhpconsumerdapp should launch the installer.

    I don't know how to use powershell so you are on your own.
