Your Phone (We can't connect to your phone)

Hey, everyone:

I was trying to link my S9 to my Windows 10 PC via the "Your Phone" app, but the process didn't work. I followed the various troubleshooting tips provided by the support but nothing helped. I connected my phone and computer to the same Wi-Fi and it refused to connect, but once I tried the same process with my Windows 10 Laptop, my Galaxy S9 connected to the laptop.

Is there any way I could get my PC and S9 to connect to one another? The process worked instantly on my laptop and the picture I attached to this thread didn't pop up on my laptop, once.

    Hey there all,

    I'm in the same boat as the OP and with so many other people on this thread that followed.  The "Your Phone" app used to work as advertised until a recent update to it from the Windows Store was installed.  Since then the app has refused to get past 60% progress (although I do get confirmation emails from Microsoft stating that my account has logged in from a new device) in the desktop app.  I have tried a completely fresh install from both the Microsoft Store and from the Google Play Store, and have installed the Android phone app on a Samsung Galaxy S9 and on a Google Pixel 4a 5G.  With each phone the Windows 10 app comes to a screeching halt at exactly the same point in the installation process, and inspecting the task manager shows that the Your Phone app is at 0% CPU activity, 0% disk activity and 0% network activity.

    At the moment, after its recent "update", the Your Phone app is a useless lump that is sorely outclassed and outperformed by pretty much everything else out there that does a similar job - regardless of how inefficiently any competitor's offering may be right now.  It least those competitors are doing something, no matter how badly...

    Amen to that!MS does nothing but blame shift the user... I tossed the app all together.

    After today's update to the Your Phone app downloaded from the Microsoft Store I get the following development:

    This happens as soon as the application starts.  All available updates to the O.S and other MS applications (outside of any insider or tester ring) have been applied.  All vendor (Asus) system files have been updated.

    The ball is in your court, Microsoft, everything at my end that can be updated has been updated.

    1st EDIT: For those that are wondering, the "Report Issue" button at the top of the window does exactly nothing.

    2nd EDIT: Yesterday's (2021-04-13) software update to the Your Phone app through the Microsoft Store went exactly as predicted, in as much as it did nothing at all.

    I got solution. It is very easy. 

    Go to mobile settings▶Apps▶Your Phone companion▶clear data

    After this,  Open app in PC first and then Android mobile.

    Do appropriate steps and your app will work fine.

    Not necessarily to connect via Wi-Fi router.

    ▶▶Need to fix following things on Pc:

    go to windows 10 setting--apps--apps and features find "your phone" app and click on advanced options and click on reset. Your problem clearly solve. if not, reply again.

    Until you got solution, reply again. I surely solve your problem.
