Your Phone (We can't connect to your phone)

Hey, everyone:

I was trying to link my S9 to my Windows 10 PC via the "Your Phone" app, but the process didn't work. I followed the various troubleshooting tips provided by the support but nothing helped. I connected my phone and computer to the same Wi-Fi and it refused to connect, but once I tried the same process with my Windows 10 Laptop, my Galaxy S9 connected to the laptop.

Is there any way I could get my PC and S9 to connect to one another? The process worked instantly on my laptop and the picture I attached to this thread didn't pop up on my laptop, once.

    After months of frustration stuck at ".... Checking one more thing..."

    Finally tried going into my router settings and changing my DNS servers to Google's public DNS - 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 - it worked !!

    On my router this was under  Internet Connectivity / IPv4 , where I changed from "Obtain DNS Automatically" to  Manually Specify DNS" and added   8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4

    The Microsoft Troubleshooter guide only mentions Wireless Isolation, i.e.

    "Many routers have a Wireless isolation feature that allow you to lock down the network. If this Wireless Isolation (or AP Isolation) is enabled, then all devices connected to the Wi-Fi network will be blocked from communicating with other".

    My router had nothing about wireless isolation or AP Isolation - suggest Microsoft  adds some troubleshooting advice on DNS settings for Your Phone.

    I have exactly the same problem

    When i open the app on the phone it just wheels

    On the pc it says we need to send a notification to the phone to finish setup.  Click on that and it just wheels then starts all over again.

    For some reason when i make a call on my phone it comes up now on my pc but i am unable to transfer photos, open the calls or messages logs etc.

    Both pc and phone connected to the same internet connection

    Both are signed in to the same microsoft account

    Have tried all the troubleshooting measures you have listed and nothing worked

    Sign in to my microsoft account and my phone is listed as one of my devices

    So any suggestions that might work as have spent hours getting nowhere as yet

    After quite some time trying to fix this issue and trying everything that's listed in this thread, I finally gave up.

    I have now upgraded my S9 Samsung to the S20 and it connected right away. Not much help I know.  The only thing I found that worked was to forget the Microsoft version and download Samsung Flow. That worked just fine.

    I have just bought a Huawei P30

    Previously had The Samsung s8

    Neither will connect

    I doubt the p30 will get samsung flow
