Your Phone (We can't connect to your phone)

Hey, everyone:

I was trying to link my S9 to my Windows 10 PC via the "Your Phone" app, but the process didn't work. I followed the various troubleshooting tips provided by the support but nothing helped. I connected my phone and computer to the same Wi-Fi and it refused to connect, but once I tried the same process with my Windows 10 Laptop, my Galaxy S9 connected to the laptop.

Is there any way I could get my PC and S9 to connect to one another? The process worked instantly on my laptop and the picture I attached to this thread didn't pop up on my laptop, once.

    Hey there Daksh,

I did the app Repair, Terminate and Reset routes as well.  Like I said earlier, I've tried all manner of fixes and none of them have worked.

The app was working for me just find until 2 updates ago.  After discounting all other choices I think we're just going to have to accept the fact that the development team broke something in a recent update and haven't been able to fix it just yet.

    Hey there Daksh,

I did the app Repair, Terminate and Reset routes as well.  Like I said earlier, I've tried all manner of fixes and none of them have worked.

Today, I update "Your Phone" app in PC. and try to reset, terminate, repair option as I suggested you.

And I do again clear data of "Your Phone companion" app in android.

first of all open Your phone app in PC. and open "Your Phone companion" in Android. you want to select "sign in with microsoft a/c"  in  phone otherwise click "other accounts" and do manual scanning QR to PC with Android mobile. and it takes few minutes to setting up. Also  check if "Your Phone companion" notification was turned on.

try to reset pc, if app crashes in PC. It may be problem of corrupt or missing files.

I tried to generate problem as you faced but I solve it. as above explained. It is not problem of PC app or mobile app. I think this is full and final solution.

try and know me in reply, it is worked or not.

    Dear  Daksh Patel ,

As Oddly Lemming has mentioned to you several times already I too have done everything you suggest. and found that there is not the solution. I really don't understand the fact that you keep replying with the same advice over and over again instead of giving a real solution. That suggests tha you aren't even listening to what is said in this discussion. Sorry that I got a bit personal but it is quite frustrating to get the same answer over and over although it is stated that al these steps have been performed already without any result.

Well it looks like there's been another update to the Your Phone app through the Microsoft store.  It still doesn't work, but at least now it doesn't immediately crash to an error when I try running it on my laptop.

    Baby steps, baby steps...

I've got Win 10 and a Samsung Galaxy S20 5G. Initially, Your Phone worked. Then for months, it stopped working. ("We can't connect to your Android device.") Then it worked for about a week. Now it's not working again.

And all the while, I've made no change in my router, or my computer, or my phone.

Has ANYONE found a solution to this problem?
