How do I unistall the Microsoft Edge "Update"

same. they won't let me uninstall it. The older one for me was better and more useful for me.

I used Lockhunterto delete every part of edge off my computer. all you need to do is navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft and delete the edge folder. And then right click the "edge updater" folder and it will show you any conflicting programs and prompt you to close them before you delete it.

Thanks for the tip Martmcd. I found the Edge update totally unacceptable especially that I had no say in whether I wanted it or not. MS upper echelon seem to want to push stuff on us good or bad.

Imposing updates is not acceptable and especially this awful microsoft edge update! We, the owners of our computers and its systems should make the decision on updates or not. Microsoft is now dictator of what we should have? Then pay for my new only 6 month old Dell laptop, Microsoft!

In any event, uninstall seems to be a fake button at this point in time so I did a system restore. Sadly I'm unable to see what updates I might be missing in the interim plus the update delays will soon run  out. I'm thinking maybe after all these years of Dell & Microsoft, it's time for a change.

My first computer had floppy disks, World Wide Web, Compuserve, etc., so computing is not a new item in my life.

Invading my computer is not welcome in my private home Mr. Nadella and friends - it's not okay.

1. Since Microsoft decided to make Edge uninstallable I have been searching for a way around this. Recently, I found a program called Revo Uninstaller. All you have to do is download and install it, follow instructions, and highlight Edge, click on uninstall and when down the old Edge will be back. No, your suggestion unfortunately did let me uninstall.  Got anything else.  My computer does work right no matter what I am doing.,  A lot of freezing, etc.
